from 2211 reviewsThank you very much for creating ease for performers! I have been using your reeds for 2 years and am very happy! With respect, Astana Opera Orchestra. Kazakhstan
I am now on my 3rd Legere reed. What I like most about this one and the others that I have tried is that they add some brightness to my sound. I perform on an old pre Mark V1 tenor which has a pretty dark sound. I love the way it plays, but, especially for rock gigs, it is helpful to have the additional brightness.
By far this is my favorite synthetic reeds from Légère. Before the French Cut came out, I went with the European cut.
Enjoyed it as much as my American cut
So far, I think they’re great. I’m an intermediate alto player (I don’t play enough to get better) focusing mostly on guitar and piano. What I was hoping for was to be able to place a reed on my mouthpiece and play, and these reeds are allowing me to do just that. I purchased one Signature and one French cut, both 2.25, to try. I like them both but prefer the tone of the French Cut a little more. Not that the Signature is too bright, but the French Cut is a little more mellow sounding.
My new reed is sounding great! I decided to go with the 2.75 and the resonance is amazing!
This is my third Legere Oboe Reed and just as expect, the performance is outstanding. The Reed has a really good response and a nice tone to it. Would highly recommend this product.
This synthetic reed is one of the best, it allows a bright and stable sound on my tenor saxophone. I am very happy to have bought this accessory
I’ve been using this reed for about 2 weeks and it I amazing. It has a beautiful sound and is also very responsive and bright. The low notes play easy and are very clear, and the high notes are also very crisp and bright. However I would suggest going up in strength a tiny bit from what you would usually play on a cane reed.
The reeds are great, save me a ton of set-up time and they play the same every day. I am still figuring out which Tenor Reed is best for me and I need to upgrade my Tenor mouthpiece as I did with Alto. I expect to be 100% Legere soon.
I like the sound I get from the reeds I bought. Am very satisfied.
I have been using the Legere reeds for years, and it has never disappointed me on SATB. The signature sopranino not only saves my day but also responds exactly to what I am asking for. If you are a soprillo player as well, this reed is definitely one of the top choices available to you.
French 3.75:
Once you get used to them they are great. Eveness of tone throughout all registers is apparent immediately. If you play more, you will have to replace them more often. But after changing out a replacement reed you'll find the consistency is amazing.
