Love my new Legere soprano sax reed. With my second purchase I now have a 2.25 American cut. Perfect for jazz. So nice to have total consistency. Highly recommend!!
I love my legere reeds. The signature is my favorite one. My first signature is a little over 9 months old now and I bought this one in anticipation of its 1yr anniversary.
I have been using the American Cut on both my tenor (with a Berg Larsen stainless steel mp) and Bari (Yanigasawa mp) and really like the bright sound and quick response. Doubling is easier here in Southern Arizona, where cane reeds can dry out quickly. After trying many non-cane reeds, Légère reeds are my choice.
Really enjoying my new reed. Equally responsive in all registers. Pitch is perfect in the low register and able to consistently play soft. Wonderful customer support from Sean. Thank you.
I’ve been playing LeGere reeds for a few years. From the Signature to the European and now the French cut. The French cot is easily the best for my setup.
I’ve been using Legere reeds for almost four years now and have to say that they are totally worth it! I play on the alto sax Signature cut 3.0 strength and it always plays clearly with a tone that would take much long to hone on cane reeds. Even after they start to break down, you can still use them for a bit longer, unlike that of cane reeds. I’ve been buying for years and will continue to in the future.
Having previously only found cane and the (seemingly discontinued) European Signature cut Legere reeds to produce a good sound, I'm very satisfied with the French cut. The sound is focused and clear, and the reed is responsive without being too bright.
