Very good for intermediate clarinet players
I’ve been playing LeGere reeds for a few years. From the Signature to the European and now the French cut. The French cot is easily the best for my setup.
Thanks for the kind review!
Having previously only found cane and the (seemingly discontinued) European Signature cut Legere reeds to produce a good sound, I'm very satisfied with the French cut. The sound is focused and clear, and the reed is responsive without being too bright.

I’m a 53 year old woman who has been playing clarinet since I was 8 (with a 30 year “break”). Back in high school (way, WAY back) I tried a plastic reed - and at that time, they weren’t very high quality. My private teacher took the plastic reed from me and bent it, telling me never to use one again. Flash forward to about three weeks ago, when a new HS student clarinet player sat next to me in our community band. I asked about his reed, which I noticed was a synthetic - and he mentioned Legere. I hopped online and bought a classic and the French Cut. I absolutely LOVE the French Cut. The articulation is incredible, and it really provides that beautiful deep sound I am looking for. I’m using a 2.75 right now, and while I might move to a 3 at some point, I don’t know that I really *need* to do that in order to get the sound I want. I’m sold!!!

Now using a Vandoren 5RV with French cut 3.25. I have the control and range I want with just enough resistance.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!
