A bright and stable reed colored with a full spectrum of overtones. The reed is very responsive and articulate due to its relative thinness versus the Classic. The Signature for Saxophone is the recommended cut for players in solo, classical, or jazz studio settings.

Amazing reeds

With alto being my main horn, I am naturally very picky when it comes to my reeds. Legere is now very much in competition with my cane reeds but In all honesty, these reeds are gonna sound great year-round while my cane reeds won’t even last that long. This is a great investment in a great product that is sure to surprise you!

Birthday Present

My cousin is in her second year of band. I got her this reed as a birthday present. It’s not time yet, but I’m sure she will love it!

Thank you for the kind and thoughtful review!

Consistent and predictable

I am starting to play saxophone again after a break of 20 years, and I wanted to remove any variables that I could in order to stay on track. Instead of trying a bunch of different cane reeds and not knowing whether I got a good/bad reed or whether the problem was me, I decided to try a couple of Legere synthetic reeds, and my experience with them has been very positive. Now I know the problem is me! (and I just need to keep practicing...)

The Signature reed feels good to play and has not changed noticeably for me in the two months that I have been using it. The price seems high at first, but it is easier to maintain, quicker to start using, and sounds good to me.

I may try cane reeds again when I get better, but for now, the ease and consistency of the Legere reeds are what I needed to get back into playing and not get frustrated by the differences in cane reeds.

Glad you are enjoying the reed!
