Introducing the French Cut, by Légère. A refined, symphonic reed that gives players a richness and stability in tone, without any sacrifice to response. With a profile that has been completely reimagined, the French Cut has been designed for a dark, centered tone that allows for a deep range of emotional expression. The reed is responsive but even, with the perfect amount of resistance.

My preferred reed

I use this with a S90 (170) facing. I prefer it to the signature.

Tenor Saxophone American cut 2.0

I have been playing a tenor saxophone about a year now. I used to use regular reeds until I purchased Legere reeds. It is so much easier to play the instrument with Legere reeds. I will try other types of Legere reeds in the future.

French cut tenor reed

Plays a lot like the American cut tenor reed. I'm not sure there's much of a difference. That said I'm using Legeres on all of my clarinets and saxes from big band playing to symphonic work. They are awesome for woodwind doublers!

Frenchy!

The French Cut is an amazing darker sounding reed. I'd recommend it to any Tenor sax player that wants to turn up the heat! Think of it as Luther & Teddy P all in one!

Legere is very good reed.

The Legere is the softest and deepest reed I've ever used. Legere produces a variety of reeds, but the Signature is my favorite.
