Bb Soprano Clarinet European Cut

It’s hard to match the vibrancy of cane reed with a synthetic material. This French Cut reed is amazing! No thinness in the upper register and very full sound. Very similar to Vandoren Java Filed Reeds (Red Box). I will buy again!

I have been using signature reeds on my saxophones. With very good results. This is my first American cut. it seems to speak very good in the low notes, and I think the tone is a little bit better. So far, I like it better than a signature on my baritone sax.

Currently playing in my second concert with this reed and am now convinced this reed is a keeper! A bit stiffer than I was expecting (I normally play a 3 strength cane reed and the 3 strength Legere is what I am playing now). Love the stability and timbre of this reed.

Oddly enough I use this reed on soprano saxophone and it works so well for what I need. The response is super quick and consistent that I have absolutely 0 worries about reeds. It’s stable and tone quality is what I’m looking for.

I really like this cut. For me It’s more responsive and easier to play than the Signature. Great tone and lots of sound.

These reeds have changed my world.

I've been trying all of the Legere reeds and am really enjoying the French Cut that I recently purchased. Free blowing and nice, full sound. I use a #3. You can't go wrong with Legere!

These are the best for me. I have a 2.25 and a 2.5. Alto sax. Don't think I will go back to bamboo reed. Not knocking them. Just my chose.

I have always used canes reeds. I have been an active clarinetist for more than 50 years. Being curious about “plastic” reeds I asked colleagues that used them to make a recommendation to me. Legere came to the top of suggested purchases. I read about the different types of Legere reeds and decided the French Cut description best fit the sound I like to have. After reading reviews I selected 2 reed strengths, 3.25 and a 3.5. I use a 3.5 blue box Vandoren for cane. When the reeds arrived, nicely packed,I used the 3.5 first. It was glorious to play bottom to top of the clarinet with ease and have no difficulty with articulation. The only drawback was the Reed was too soft and therefore played flat. I had wonderful prompt service when I contacted Legere. At my request I received a 3.75 and was told to keep the other reeds. I will definitely be purchasing my next Legere here. I just played a dress rehearsal for a musical last night using the 3.75, great and my lip recovered much quicker because there are no cane fibers irritating my lip. Thanks so much for opening this door for me.

I just finished playing a show with this reed, first time purchasing one for bass clarinet, and I am very happy. I appreciate not worrying about them drying out or warping during long periods of rest. Ready to go right out of the instrument stand!

I love these reeds! I appreciate their consistency and quality. Being a new (old) player, these reeds allow me to focus on my tone and technique instead of fighting with the vast INCONSISTENCY of cane reeds. Thank you, Legere!

This has been the best invention for saxophonists, the sound is deep and stable, once the reed is controlled there is no variation. It is very consistent and durable.
