from 2461 reviewsI was really impressed how well my b flat clarinet, number 3 reed performed. Great response and tone from the lowest note to the third octave D. I would suggest a number 4 reed above the third octave D.
To me, the French cut reeds seem to pair well with more “traditional” mouthpieces that weren’t designed to specifically accommodate the European cut, or synthetic reeds in general. They provide a good alternative the V12.
I use these reeds on soprano sax. even response up and down the horn and cleaned up intonation trouble spots--playing my soprano is now fun
Signature is a high quality reed and give me confidence in playing classical music
I have both the 2.0 and 3.0 Legere Studio cut reed. Like the thickness of the reed. Tone, sound and projection is amazing.
Nice sound. Very consistent, nice gradations.
The American Cut 2.75 is just right for me on a larger alto sax tip opening for jazz. The bright, focused sound is easy to control and consistent day after day, even during weather changes.
It sounds better than expected and I'm planning to buy one, I've tested these reeds thanks to relatives and they sound amazing
It's all you could want for playing great jazz (I use it for in band and ensemble work). Superior response and projection up and down the scale.
After buying several Legere sax reeds, I went for a clarinet reed. It sounds great throughout the horn. Although I hit on the right strength, it was comforting to know that I could return it for something that was more appropriate. I particularly like your providing reed strengths in .25 increments.
I replaced my cane reedd after years of using them. I now only have legere reeds on my soprano, alto, and tenor saxes. They sound just a good, but don't need soaking and blow a lot easier. I am getting some different strengths, because some of my mouthpieces respond better to a harder or softer strength.
