The American Cut represents the next-generation of Légère saxophone reeds. From the first note, the reed speaks with total ease while giving players just the right amount of tonal edge. It is effortlessly free-blowing, colorful, and loaded with personality.

The American Cut’s distinct profile is what gives players a full, clear low register and vibrant altissimo.

American Reed Review

I personally love the American Reed, I get an immediate response from the Reed when I put air thru the horn. It has good flexibility and the projection is good too.

When It All Started

No squeaks or leaks. I can go high and I can go low - while focusing on the tune at hand. I wish I had these in 1962!

American Cut Alto Sax 2.50

This is one of my favorite reeds to play on. Love the sound - works best with the music I play with the concert band Im in. These reeds seem to last a good amount of time, much longer than traditional reeds.

Great reeds

I have been using Legere reeds for a couple of years on my tenor sax and finally made the change to Legere on my alto sax. No more dead reeds in the middle of a gig. Just ez pz.

Very good reed. The tone is better and sounds great. No preparation needed.
