I found the signature 2,5 works well on my classic TL3 mouthpiece but is a little stiff for my Jumbo T55 mouthpiece. I will order a 2.25 next time. It is more consistent than my cane reeds.
I started using legere reeds a few years ago and I didn’t really like them but now with their new signature reeds, it’s hard to see the need to buy cane. These reeds are all very fantastic with some slight differences with the same sizes. Perfect in all weathers, especially with this companies commitment to making better quality reeds! Super excited for what’s in store, especially those French cut reeds 👀
I am an amateur player in 2 community concert bands and in church worship. I play bass clarinet and have settled on the legere signature tenor sax reeds after trying a few other synthetic reeds. I bought one from the music store, liked it and bought another. Then I ordered two from the company. All have played well and been consistent. Good sound, full range; i.e. playing with the tubas and then with the clarinets and saxes. It is so nice to not have to wet and warm up a reed or to be concerned that it might fail during a concert. Just install the reed and play confidently.
This is the best synthetic reed I've ever played. It responds like a good bamboo reed with excellent range. I'm getting from a vibrant low end to a strong altissimo at the top end. And it's reliable. I really like this reed.
My sound was way better after buying my Reed, and I’m highly thankful for it!
Glad you're enjoying the reed!
