The Baritone Signature reeds are a dream. Great response. Plenty of color. Nice even scale. Strong projection. In the case. On the road.
Having heard good things about these reeds I thought I'd give them a try. I was tired of cane reeds warping, fraying, and even going moldy. I did not have much success with black plastic coated reeds from a few years ago. I have a 2.00 and a 2.5 Légère bari plastic reeds and they are similar to the cane ones I use...maybe 0.25 less stiff. The 2.00 blows very easily but I think the 2.50 will be my workhorse. I hope they last a long time as they sound great. I'm hoping it will be more cost effective as a result.
This is the only reed to use when doubling
I was nervous to try the reed, as I wanted so badly for it to play well. Not only does it play "well", but exceeded my expectations for tone, evenness, and response. Since it doesn't/won't/can't warp, I say this bari sax reed is "better than cane"!
I don’t really have much else to say but the title. I’ve been playing on some sort of Légère reed for almost half a year now and I’ve only bought two and I still sound decent (but that’s not the reed’s fault) so I can’t really complain at all and would recommend anyone get one
