The Legere sopranino reed is very stable and responsive in all registers. It is much less finnicky than sourcing cane reeds which seem to be extremely backlogged and the Legere remains very consistent which is important for an instrument that doesn't get played nearly as much as the other horns.
Never had any trouble with any Legere reed. I know when I put it on the mouthpiece and keep it lined up when affixing the ligature it will work. Guaranteed. It doesn't care what the temperature or humidity is. If your instrument doesn't play, it's your instrument.
A nice timbral balance between roundness of sound and present upper partials. Quick response.
Great LITTLE reed for the 'Nino, great balance of full bright tone, but not too bright. Cane reeds have been hard to find for this instrument, Legere has been a great choice.
Glad you're enjoying your little reed!
The reed is very responsive! I play Legere on all my horns and they have never been a problem.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!
