I'm one of those performers who wears a lot of hats on a gig (vocalist, keyboardist, sax player), and have been struggling for years (decades, really) to find a solution for a sax reed that's still ready to play after my horn sits on the stand for 20-30 minutes. For the kinds of gigs I play, these reeds not only play great but sound great!
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review, we appreciate your comments!
This was a great discovery for me. The reed made for smooth and easy playing right out of the box. Happy to switch from cane reeds to Legere. And I liked being able to use a 2.25 strength reed - seemed to suit me very well.
Thanks for the review!
I just started playing tenor sax in a funk band and I have a Berg Larsen 95/2 metal mouthpiece. I was using the Signature 2.75 reed but I found it a little too soft. I purchased the 3,0 and it is perfect. It gives me just enough resistance to put out some sound without the sacrificing tone. I will be playing outdoor gigs this summer and I know the Legere will work amazingly and immediately no matter the conditions.
Thanks for the kind review!
I've been playing wood reeds on my Tenor Otto Link Super Tone Master NY 7 for almost 30 years, and I've never had a reed that immediately sounds fantastic in all registers. My search is over.
Thanks for the kind review!
Excellent
Glad you're enjoying your reed!
