The Studio cut reed, available for the Alto and Tenor Saxes, offers a warmer sound than that of our Classic cut reed and is designed for the jazz genre. It plays softer than other Légère reeds and is best suited for players in live environments.

Legere Tenor Saxophone Reeds ... My Future

I just now purchased my first Legere reed... a 2.50 Studio Cut. I was very surprised and pleased to instantly hear my Yamaha 875 Custom Silver saxophone produce the jazz tonal quality that I have been seeking for years. Tenor Sax Studio Cut

I've been a Classic Cut user for years and have been very satisfied with that product. Then I recently decided to try the Studio Cut Reeds. As the product description states, I immediately noticed the warm, rich and clear voicing of the Studio Cut. I should have made the change to Studio Cut years ago.

They sound good and last a while

I don’t really have much else to say but the title. I’ve been playing on some sort of Légère reed for almost half a year now and I’ve only bought two and I still sound decent (but that’s not the reed’s fault) so I can’t really complain at all and would recommend anyone get one

Always satisfied!

I’m old enough to member the prototypes of “plastic” reeds - didn’t like ‘em much. Then, a few years ago, one of my students suggested I try one again. Now, I’m hooked!! The consistency of the Legere reeds is amazing. In the past you’d line up the top four reeds in order from a box of 10. Now, every Legere reed is my #1 reed! No more sanding &/or clipping. Whether it's Dixieland or Classical music, I just put on my European Cut 3.75 and play away! I love it!!
