I am a long-time player and use Legere reeds for clarinet and alto, tenor and bari sax. I really appreciate their consistency and simplicity, and on balance, they are (in my opinion) a better $$ value than cane reeds.
Great reed. Always ready to play.
The 3.5 tenor sax reeds work great for me on bass clarinet. Thanks!
I've been playing artificial reeds for the last 15 years and have at least tried most of them. The Legere Signature is the best I have ever used in every way: sound, response, and longevity. IMHO, it equals or surpasses the best cane reeds in every way.
I am a “late life” saxophonist who has been using Legere reeds for the past 3 months and they have been great to use over the winter months, avoiding the low humidity problems we face.
My main mouthpiece is an Otto Link “super tonemaster 6” and I was using Vandoren Java Red 2.5 reeds. After reading the online guidance from Legere, I decided to start with the Legere Studio Cut 1.5 and the American Cut 1.5 reeds. These reeds have been relatively easy to play and sound very good. As I continue to work with Legere reeds, I plan to try the Signature cut next.
Very happy with results so far.
