Very consistent throughout the register and what I expected for using Legere reeds for several years now on all my horns ( Eb soprano, Bb and Bass clarinets and a few saxophones), The whole line of reeds never let me down.

I've been using Bb clarinet reeds for a while, carefully cutting them down with a small hacksaw - which works fine. But I've just had my first "real" Eb reeds, after chatting with Sean at Légère who gave me very helpful advice. I ordered a 2.75 and a 3.0 European cut - tried the 3.0 first and knew the 2.75 would be too soft so got an exchange sent to me, which arrived within FOUR days. Amazing service. The reed: I find the Eb reed is brighter and more "brattish" than the Bb reed, which is a bit more mellow. To me, it also seems to be a bit more stable - perhaps a little easier to play in tune on the eefer. Thanks!!

Used a 3.75 Euro Cut with a refaced Vandoren M30 mouthpiece. Response was excellent and had no trouble playing up to altissimo A. Depth (warmth) of tone in primary register was a bit less than with a good cane reed but better than most. Reed is slightly wider than cane reeds, but this did not seem to have an adverse effect.
Glad you are enjoying the reed!
Légère’s Eb clarinet reeds fulfill all my expectations of a Légère reed. It works well, producing a warm sound and evenness of balance. It brings freedom to practice without spending hours working on reeds.
Best Eb reed yet - instant clear response all through the range.
Thank you for the kind review!
