My medium-strength reed arrived about one week after ordering. The reed arrived in good shape and the out-of-the-box experience is not bad, after some simple adjustment, the reed can produce a beautiful sound! You may hear a slightly different sound in your head, but when you record yourself, you'll find out it's really close to a normal crane reed. Overall, I am very satisfied with this reed and planning to use it for a long time.

It doesn't change with the weather, and it doesn't matter if your mouth gets dry or if the reed gets dry during long rests in rehearsal. I really appreciate the reliability of this reed. I initially found the high notes to be slightly flat, but after an hour of playing I found that I automatically adjusted, and now that's not a problem. I'm surprised how nice the tone is. I hope Legere makes an English horn reed soon.

I am an amateur oboist returning after a 20 + year pause. Now I can just play and I sound good! The oboe is now officially a « normal » instrument. It was about time!

I play a lot of gigs during the holidays and this reed arrived just before my final Christmas service. I decided to give it a try, but had a backup "normal" reed.
The Legere oboe reed was perfect! It responded well and I didn't have to worry about sitting for 20 minutes and then immediately playing a solo. I'm glad I took a chance on it.
