Dear Legere,
I have been using Legere reeds for 9 years. In the beginning it was basically for those days when none of my cane reeds seemed to play. But then as the years progressed I found myself using them more often. Now I use them almost all of the time. It is very nice not to spend so, so much time scraping, sanding, trying to get cane reeds to play. I now find myself spending much more time making music rather than working on reeds. Love it.
And another thing: I’m not quite sure if I have adjusted my playing habits to the different feel of the Legere reeds, or if the reeds you make are much improved over the years but the sound and control I experience now with them is a joy.
Thank you, Legere, for a great product.

The French cut is really nice. Good control in all register.
Works great. I would recommend getting two so you can rotate them
Love the reeds, but I find lately that you can get wide variation in the strengths. Some of my 3.5 strength reeds are softer than my 3.25 reeds. Also, soprano sax reeds work better for me on clarinet.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!
She had recommended that I move to a harder reed for better control. I decided to try a synthetic, having read about Legere's reeds. I appreciate the easy cleaning and durability, so I bought another pair to rotate them. I have work to do to build up the embouchure, but the tone improvement is promising. Also tried the French and European cuts; some comparison testing is in my future.
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review, we appreciate your comments!
