A durable and darker reed with fewer overtones than the Signature. A thicker tip and heart produces a purer tone with fewer complexities. The Classic for Saxophone is the recommended cut for marching band performers and those blending their sound with a large ensemble.
I have been using Legere reeds on all my Saxophones (from the Soprano to the Tubax Eb) for the last 10 years or so. These reeds are, in my opinion, better than cane reeds. They are reliable and durable and do not get weaker with time. I am highly recommending any reed player to give it a try, and I am pretty sure that these reeds would become instantly their favourite.
Very predictable -- a little stuffy sounding in the context of jazz/pop gigs, but comfortable!
Stable, reliable reed that has a balanced range and good projection. On par with traditional cane reeds. Definitely more durable than a cane reed. Some of these other reviews say that the hardness scale on these reeds is slightly higher than the equivalent on cane. In my opinion, it plays about the same as the falling apart reed with a split in it that I was playing a few days before
I really like this reed specifically it really does give that tons I’m looking for more of a darker tone for marching band
Great product. Really gives me the dark and full tone that I’m always looking for when playing Bari.
