For years, actually since 2002, I have been playing Legere Clarinet reeds. However, since last Christmas Season, I also switched to the Saxophone reeds available. I now wonder why I waited so long. My advice to others Do it!
I haven’t receive my order, they send me an email saying your package has been delivered, I checked my mailbox and it wasn’t there, I sent an email to the seller, he asked me for the order number, and sent it to him. He never answered me back.
I'm a long-time player of the Legere Signature reed but I tried the French Cut recently to see if the "darker tone" that was advertised is accurate. It is! Fantastic reed with excellent playability and tone...my new favorite reed. If you are used to playing the Signature and want to try the French Cut I recommend buying a 1/4 to 1/2 strength harder French Cut. For the moment I've settled on 1/2 strength harder than a Signature on alto and 1/4 strength harder on tenor.
This reed reminds me of some of the best reeds I have used from the "typical" cane reeds everyone uses for classical saxophone. Great value to not have to worry about warming up a reed before a performance.
I have enjoyed the dynamic range this reed affords me.
