The most comfortable, stable, and articulate clarinet reed Légère produces. The European Cut for Bb Clarinet is wider than the Signature with a shorter vamp and a band of material down the spine. This reed is recommended for players of all levels though it is too wide for most German mouthpieces.

Bb Soprano Clarinet European Cut

Thanks for the review!

Very nice response through clarion register, takes some getting used to in altissimo. Nice and free blowing with great volume. A little softer than I expected, so I have to go up a strength.

Thanks for the review!

Synthetic Reeds That Work

I have recently tried Legere's European Cut Reeds. I have been playing the clarinet for about 70 years and these are the first synthetic reeds I have found to work. I'm still experimenting with strength, but the European Cut seems to work the best for me on the Kanter mouthpiece which I have had for many years. Please note the European cut reeds are a little wider than the usual Bb clarinet reeds. I have not used a fiber reed for a month!

After eight years

I'm an enthusiastic clarinet player in a community band who switched from cane to Legere eight years ago. I wouldn't think of going back to that hassle. I've been playing the European Cut for five years as they fit and play best on my Backun mouthpieces. I keep four to six reeds in rotation so they last a long time.

Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review, we appreciate your comments!

I use them

They (European cut #3) are my clarinet reed of choice. They work on a variety of mouthpieces, too.

Thanks for the kind review!
