I am very pleased at the performance of this reed. When playing for a show and my clarinet sits for a period of time, I needed a reed that I could count on to be ready without worry of it drying out. The European Cut is perfect for my needs - responds well in all registers, especially the chalumeau - warm, full sounds.

Have been using Signature Cut reeds for six months and they’ve given men lots of problems. Switched to a European Cut last week and didn’t squeak once in practice. Also hit a note that was two steps higher than the highest I’ve ever gotten out of my bass clarinet. The tone is slightly rougher than the Signatures, but the European is just so much easier to play.

This reed was for our granddaughter who is just starting (1 year) on bass clarinet. She had been having problems with (altissimo) with cane reeds. So far she loves this French cut 2 reed. It plays better for her than the cane and the altissimo is clean and no squeaks.

I have been playing the bass clarinet Legere European cut, 2.75 for the last 2 weeks and am very pleased. The tone and response are excellent. I will purchase again!

I’ve been using Legere for over 20 years and they’re still going strong and sound great! These new bass clarinet reeds feel and sound good.
