Consistent and resonant! I've never had so much fun playing bass clarinet.
Glad you're enjoying your reed!
I've already bough a fair share of plastic reeds for my various reed instruments, and I can say for one, when playing concert, the Classic cut is my favourite because of how dark the tone is and how smooth it plays. It also makes it super convenient for use in marching band as I don't need to wet my reed and it immediately plays as well. Although, I would recommend European Cut for marching band use as it's significantly more responsive.
Overall, would very much recommend this product. It also saves sooo much money in the long run because bass clarinet reeds get particularly expensive.
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review!
After sitting on the shelf for 10 years, I pulled my bass clarinet out and starting practicing again. Frustrated with cane reeds and after talking with a friend who plays the bass clarinet in large community group, I decided to give the Legere reed a try and the reed provide a pleasant change. I am planning on staying with the legere reed.
Thanks for the thoughtful review! Glad you're enjoying the reed!
Bass Clarinet Classic
Thanks for the review!
I’m a Bass Trombone player who plays Bass Clarinet in my spare time. Always have a special place in my heart for Bass Clarinet. But as it’s not my main instrument, cane Reed upkeep proves to be rather difficult. Getting this incredible set of reeds was the game changer of the century for me. Very fast shipping time, incredible response right out of the box. Extended low register to low C plays like a charm and altissimo notes soar out of the instrument. Amazing product and great price! Thank you Légère for all your work!
