I've been using Légère European Cut reeds since I started my clarinet journey a few years ago. They've been perfect for me from the very beginning and allowed me to concentrate on learning the instrument without having to worry too much about reed maintenance and care. Today, I couldn't see myself using any other brands of reeds. Légères just work and always give me the sound and feel you would expect from a fresh reed, without the headaches of humidity control, unevenness, etc. Also, their reed exchange program and customer service are exceptional. I once had an issue with a reed I had just bought at my local music store, and after contacting Sean King, he sent me a new reed free of charge right away. I'm also convinced that I saved a lot of money over the years and always keep 4/5 reeds in rotation which can last me at least 6 months. Great company and great product made here in Canada!
Espero comprar a la próxima pero quiero una rebaja, porque quiero llevar mas.
The European cut Legere clarinet reed offers a rich and focused sound along with enhanced projection when needed, making it ideal for soloists and clarinetists in ensembles. Designed with a shorter vamp and thicker heart it provides the player with just enough resistance and flexibility which allows for more dynamic control and richness. Articulation is also easily defined and firm. Legere reeds are reliable, consistent and forgiving. You will open a new road when you try them.
I have been wrestling with cane reeds for quite a while. I thought plastic coated was the answer but now I have found this European cut plastic reed my wresting days may be behind me.
After 50 years of playing clarinet, I found Legere reeds and I love them. I use them exclusively on both clarinet and saxophone. I will never go back!
