I won’t be going back to bamboo.

My setup is a 2.5 Legere European Cut with a Vandoren BD5 mouthpiece. The combination out performs any other setup I’ve tried with my bass clarinet. I also use Legere reeds with my soprano clarinet. The reeds are ready to play right out of the box, last more than ten times longer than bamboo reeds, and quality is consistent.

I am very pleased at the performance of this reed. When playing for a show and my clarinet sits for a period of time, I needed a reed that I could count on to be ready without worry of it drying out. The European Cut is perfect for my needs - responds well in all registers, especially the chalumeau - warm, full sounds.
