The American Cut represents the next-generation of Légère saxophone reeds. From the first note, the reed speaks with total ease while giving players just the right amount of tonal edge. It is effortlessly free-blowing, colorful, and loaded with personality.

The American Cut’s distinct profile is what gives players a full, clear low register and vibrant altissimo.

American cut 2.25

Reed is excellent and notes on my alto saxophone are coming out clearly and neatly. These reeds play perfectly out of the box all the time. It is outdated to play 5 to 10 cane reeds to get a good one!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!

American Reed Review

I personally love the American Reed, I get an immediate response from the Reed when I put air thru the horn. It has good flexibility and the projection is good too.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!

When It All Started

No squeaks or leaks. I can go high and I can go low - while focusing on the tune at hand. I wish I had these in 1962!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the reed!
